Fun with tags

Hi this is a post of different tags I made in desember, some are also from a weekend promt at CASAkreativ.no. It is so fun to create on tags. The freedom and the feeling of just going for it, not being concerned if it is enough. It is just a tag, right? I also use tags like many others to test out techniques and work very randomly without a plan. Love it!

Invitation:

 This first tag I have used paper and embellishments from Papirdesign. The background of the tag is Distress Ink, I think it was Scattered Straw. Beautiful combined with deep red...
Winterland:

Here is a transparent tag made of some old packaging :) 

 It is hard to catch on camera how much the heart sparkles also the glass sheers some places on the tag. I wanted it to look frosty and icy :D

Can you see that the plastic background is embossed... also hard to catch on camera lol :)
Bird food:

This tag was made for our Christmas Calender 2012 for CASAkreativ. The prompt was use a medium of some sort :) I made the tree out of Paperclay, the bird food is made of Gel medium and Earth Textures from Elements. The birdfood on the left I made by using fibers called Bast in Norwegian. Sorry I can not remember what it is called in English! The snow is both snow writer and Molding Paste.

Happy Birthday:

 This tag I made for my Godson Christian for his birthday. Most of the product's on this tag I got for Christmas from the best girls in the world ♥ They know who they are ♥

Congratulations:

This tag was made for a sweet girl on CASAkreativ ♥ Lot of layers on this on lol! To bad the picture does not show that the hot air balloon has some gorgeous shine to it.. I used Goosebumps shimmer, it is awsooome! Also used Goosebumps to transfer a book page to the tag background. Goosebumps is an amazing product ♥   

The next 3 tags were made for a weekend promt at CASAkreativ. It was so amazing, we did not know what the end result would be. Because Asil the Promt boss lol, just told us one step at a time. So we had no clue on what would come, what we would use and so on. It was so fun to work like this, halvway blindfolded lol. I truly love these tags...

I got it:

They became very symbolic and told me what I needed to hear right then and there.. They also baffled me because it was so unlike my usual style which I think is kind of simple and calm...

Strength is hope:

This showed me everything♥ I did not know that it would become this, seriously it just manifested ♥ it!

Pure Friendship:

This last one I totally saw it would be for my best girlfriend Jojja. She has had my heart since we were 18 years old ♥ The tag says: Perfect (real) friend, unconditional love..

That was all for now, a lot more to come. My little puppy is getting pretty big now, so he can now sleep on his mattress in my "art" room. Got my light source yesterday, so now I am redoing my creative space. I am planning some new videos, so I need my space to be workable lol. Have a wonderful weekend everyone! 

Yeayy it just dawned on me, it is Friday *happy dance*.

New videos in the making...

..that is why my blog is quiet. It could look like I am not making anything, but since the New Year I just want to create all the time. Also with the loss of my best friend, it is soothing and connecting in a way. I still dont sleep a night without waking up thinking about her. She is the first that pops in to my mind. I talk to her in my sleep... in a way I "have" her with me... sounds maybe little corny. But I guess that is my grief process... also her words of not hiding anymore, being brave... I have just started♥ I will keep posting the AJ's and Mixed Media in this blog too. But more heart to heart posts like this one... will be in my other blog: linnsartandsoul.blogspot.no. It just feel's right. Art is for me very personal. Scrapbooking and cardmaking is also personal, but not as deep. Does that make sense?? LOL, yes I know I am kinda weird *smile* but hey I am soon forty and starting to accept myself. I guess it is about time, right?? So it is not about over sharing and putting my soul on paper. But more about my perspective and reflective thinking... difficult to explain♥

Hmm I wonder if I have some AJ's I have forgotten to put up here.... *looking*...... oh my... Its alot of them missing here. Well I will put up a couple, some of you have probably seen them on CasaKreativ.

 I have put this up on FB also at TreL, but forgot my blog. I seriously got to get my act together. *working progress* Love my green girl, she looks very much like my girlfriend who has past away. But she was even more radiant♥ My red hair and her face.

 Don't like this one that much, it was to one of our CASAkreativ AJ of the month prompts. We had to use something from nature. I went out and got me some leaves.... also I had some bark, sand and other good stuff... Meeeh it is still off, something... but I accept that it is how it is. Not going to change it.. maybe I will see something I need to see, in a while.

Seriously... pink, NOT my fav color on an AJ, but also for a prompt/contest. But it was fun. The theme is: When we grow older we also get "heavier". It is because we have so much knowledge. That our brain don't have room for it all. So our body's have to retain the knowledge... now I understand everything lol! I must be seriously smart *giggle*.

Well that was all... or probably I could fill up with more. Probably......., but this has to do for now.

Summer Cleaning!!

Hi folks!! This is just crazy, I have just totally abandoned my blog!! I did seriously not realize it was so long ago since I posted anything. In all fareness I have posted on forums and other blogs. But totally forgot to keep my home nice and tidy. So I know now never let it go so far like FOUR months between blogposts. Ok if I had not made anything and just did not have anything to say, then it would be all good. But I totally do! I have alot to show you and also talk about lol! I got a little put off by the new blogspot layout. But hey if we in life avoid everything that seems complicated, we stop growing and learning. So that is NOT gonna happen *lol*. I want to challenge myself everyday to broaden my horizon and let myself shine a little more:) We will see how it goes lol! I know it will be fun thats for sure♥ Ok so I will post alot to catch up. I have been doing stuff since march lol!! Art Journals, Cards, Tags and Layouts and I also have made a couple of tutorials:)

Mars/April:

AJ - Colors bring me happiness and helps me follow my Dreams

I made this for a challenge on our wonderful forum CASAkreativ.no. Every month we have a new challenge that inspires me alot♥

I also want to show you a layout I made in April. It was a feature at CASAkreativ for KREATIV HOBBY. Where I got to play with an awsome stamp. 

Is it not just perfect! I was so happy to play and create with it♥

It is so versatile, both for cardmaking, Layouts and offcourse my passion in mixed media projects and also Art Journaling. I love me some stamps like that hihi!

Here is what I made:

The gorgeous orange alphas and the chipboard stars are from Papirdesign♥

I have promised myself to start making more layouts again. It is always a balance on how to manage the time in the creative state. So I just have to prioritize making more Layouts. Because I truly looove it♥

Here is also a card I made using the stamp:

The white border thingy is paperclay. I made it by using a homemade mold and a stamp and then I used paperclay to make the embellishment:) Look how awsome the coffee spill stamp works with paint. I loved it! The little bird is from Prima, made by the wonderful Ingvild Bolme.   The patterned deep pink paper and the tag Grattis is also from Papirdesign♥ 

Well I guess this blogpost is long enough, but I have more for April to show you. So I will start on a new post and hope to have it posted before the weekend sets in:) Now I am off to soak in some sunshine. The weather has not been what I would define as summer weather. So when the sun is beaming, I want to feel her. I hope even to get som freakles and some color. Right now I could totally be in a vampire movie lol. White as white can be *laugh*

AJ second places♥

I seriously need to dust off my blog. I have been pretty creative the last month,but getting it posted in my blog.... well seriously i forgot LOL. Been doing alot of Designer work, so all my attention has gone there:P

So this post I will just show some of the AJ's I have done for fun, even one I did in bed. My ME has been acting up really bad since november. But with good guidence from my doktor. I am very slowly getting my feet under me again. It is wonderful, but also hard. Because I am impatient. So much I want to do, but I have to pace myself. Not bite over more than I can chew sort of speak lol.

The three AJs I will show now, was all runner ups in three different challenges at Casakreativ.no. Sweet wonderful Camilla runs every month a challenge called CASA♥AJ's. Her challenges always hit home with me. I have had many aha moments thanks to her. Also Camilla and CASAkreativ's founder Ruffa had weekend challenges, it also was right on the nose for what I needed that weekend♥  It is pretty unique to get three runner up places. I NEVER get that far usually. So I did not get bummed out for comming second. But more fasinated that I got so many votes♥ I see it as a gift, my pages touches others. Im on to something *sigh*

The first one I want to show you,  is a page made for Ruffas challenge. It had to have alot of colors and hot weather ballon(s), also I think the prompt was about freedom:) This was what I got out of it♥

 

 Love my Inktense pencils, they are so vibrant in colors. First I used a stencil and some Goosebumps, before starting layering all the colors.

Offcourse I have to get some depth effekt lol. Love making pages almost 3D if I can. Proud to say I made my weatherballoon all by my selv, no clippings from a magazine. I am not that good of a drawer but I am working on it:) The "hinges" I made out of molding paste and some paint.

 To place the sign on top of the lace, I used ScrapDots. AMAZING product. I heard of it from a video with Donna Downey. I was so happy when TreL  got it in her shop. I love that you can glue it on almost anything and you have the choice on how dimensional you want it to be. Have not seen anything like this before!!
The next one, I still can't see why it got so far. Maybe the topic hit home? Technique vice it was NOT one of my better ones. But it meant alot to me. This is the one I made in bed, not in the best shape. I guess the page says it all, right?

Sorry for the small picture and bad quality. It was just snapped in a hurry. The page is made an regular printer paper!! This is really a small doodling book I have by my bed. But got my hubby to get my Lumiere paints, a couple of stamps. The tag is covered with washi tape, and some prima alfabet stickers.

The last one was alot of work with. Mainly because I bought the wrong stencil *sigh* I LOVE Crafters Workshop stencils. Well they have some tree stencils I so have waited for getting a hold of. Well there are to different ones. The positive and the negative part of the tree. I bought the one that makes the outline of the tree. But I wanted the one where I could use molding paste or some other goodies in it. The store I bought it from was sold out. So I found out, ok Linn. Just use the stencil you have got. And just cut out all the branches afterwords. When I get an idea I just cant stray from it lol. So I have with the help of my skalpell cut out all the brances on this page! Yes I KNOW I am nuts. The word no does not fit in my vocabulary hihihi! Ok enough rambling, here is the page.

 See all the branches, well I am truly pretty patient I guess. Listening to my Ebook and handcutting is kinda a perfect moment for me♥

I have even more to show you, but now blogger seems to have had enough. It is getting really slow and wont upload any more pictures. So I guess it is best to call it quits for now.
I will try to do better this year with my blog. I am truly not a stable blogger lol! But I will try my best!

CASAfeature Desember ♥ Papirdesign♥

Gjett EN gang om jeg koste meg med månedens CASAfeature hihi! Papirdesign wiiii! Jeg finner så mange vakre herligheter å designe fra hos Line. Og har ikke hatt noe problem med å få til å bruke dem. Det er nesten blitt sånn nå at får jeg ikke brukt julekolleksjonen til Papirdesign når november kommer, tror jeg litt av julefølelsen ville bli borte altså....

Her kan du se hva alle de flotte CASAkreative damene har laget :) Og her er hva jeg lagde, herlig å ha så mange valgmuligheter både i farver, stiler og ikke minst stæsj og stempler! Papirdesign har det meste!

 

 

 

 

 

Jeg fant en gammel Hambly snøkrystall transparent, som jeg fant ut passet for å få litt dybde på siden. Brøt litt opp alle lagene liksom :)

Litt julepynt må vel til vel hihi! Her er en polsk julekule :) Måten å lage den fant jeg på fantastiske Youtube! HER er link til tutorialen, hvis noen får lyst å lage:)

 

Tar litt tid å lage den hihi, men når man kommer i gang går det ganske fort altså!

Så til slutt laget jeg et par julekort.

 

Nydelige dype røde farver, syns de passet så godt til de skinnende halvperlene♥ Og til sist vil jeg vise dere tagkortet. Fikk en ide om hmm kanskje det kunne bli en kul fasong. Ble litt smalt da, men er nok en vanesak. Det tar ihvertfall ikke så stor plass;) Men er ganske høyt så det er litt plass å skrive noen ord:)

 

 Ja det var det jeg hadde å vise fram fra CASAfeature Papirdesign. Har litt andre prosjekter på lur som kommer de neste dagene. Nå når jeg har oppdaget HVORFOR det går så tregt for meg å lage noe på hobbyrommet!! Jeg fryser på hendene. Stive kalde fingre er ikke lykkelige og kreative fingre. Skal få tak i pulsvarmere tror jeg. Så vil aktiviteten gå oppover hihi!

Art Journaling og Gode Minner = Sant

Vi er overlykkelig på CASAkreativ over nyhetene fra Gode Minner. Dette skriver Monica og Hege til oss: Vi er gjerne med på dette og det er ikke noe problem å sende varer, det gjør vi jo i dag også. For at vi skal ha et så bra utvalg som mulig er vi avhengig av deres hjelp til hvilke produkter som skal taes inn, men det kan ikke være produkter fra altfor mange forskjellige leverandører. Dette på grunn av frakt og tollkostnader. Kom allikevel med alle ønsker så skal vi gi tilbakemelding på hva vi får til. Et par nye leverandører tar vi gjerne inn, blant annet Stampington and Company, hvis den er aktuell.

Altså Gode Minner vil veldig gjerne få et godt utvalg i Art Journaling produkter!!! Art Journaling har ikke vært så utbredt i Norge enda. Så av utvalg finner man litt her og der. Men å få en scrappebutikk som kan faktisk ta inn et godt utvalg, vil bare være helt supert!

Jeg vant jeg vant! CASAsketchy!!

Helt ærlig så klør jeg meg enda i hodet, fikk masse stemmer og til og med premie! Åhh det var stor lykke når det dukket opp i posten i dag. Spesielt siden jeg har vært sengeliggende den siste tiden :( og ikke hadde fått med meg at jeg vant:P Jeg bruker ikke å vinne konkurranser så jeg hadde liksom glemt det helt av. Da blir det enda mer gøy hihi! Vel her er kortet jeg vant med:

Her kommer mange prosjekter på en gang! Jeg er i sparemodus når det gjelder energi så dette blir en stor post med mye forskjellig som jeg har lyst å vise♥ Hvis du vil se hele CASAfeaturen anbefaler jeg deg virkelig å se inne hos oss på www.casakreativ.no. Here are alot of projects made with the wonderful products from Papirdesign. I was supposed to spread the pictures over some bloggposts. But unfortunalty my health is not so good, my ME is really acting up, so I need to just chill and stay off the computer for a little while. So thats why the bloggpost is so long, but alot to see though lol!! Enjoy! I am so so lucky to be a Designer for Papirdesign, everytime I recieve a DT package Im in heaven. Its not hard to make alot of pages and cards when the products are so good.

Dette kortet var råååmorsomt å lage, bare leke helt fritt med de digge stemplene til Papirdesign! Og så lage blomster av alle arkene, det ble en ganske så stor fargepalett det ja :) Stempelbrettet med stjernene kommer jeg til å slite ut altså! Er min aller største favoritt for tiden, vil bare bruke det på ALT!! Har hatt litt H20 maling i stjernene og oppå der et lag med Glossy Accent for å få dem til å "poppe" litt ekstra fram :)

This Layout is about my daughter asking alot of questions. She is at a age were she is starting to see the world from her own perspective. A very special time for us all. Having all the answers is not as easy though hihi! But it is wonderful just the same♥
